Blanching Our Greens Verses Steaming Them
In the 60's and 70's it was common place to steam our veggies until they were limp. To make matters worse it was common place to add salt to the steamed greens too.
I would recommend with greens to blanch them. It is so quick and so simple.
1. Buy organic or use veggies from the garden
2. Cut them to fit in the bowl or a stainless steel saucepan
3. Pour boiling hot water on them to cover the veggies chosen.
4. Place a plate on top to cover the width of the bowl.
5. Leave for a few minutes only then strain and serve on plate.
